Shape Up
A downloadable game for Windows
Welcome to Shape Up!
In this simple and short roguelike game you will be faced against different enemies represented with different colors and geometric figures as you build your character to get stronger and more defined!
The game loop
Each game will start in a similar way, giving you, the player, a defenseless and deformed character called The
Ameba. This little creature may be ugly and weak, but defeat enemies and collect their experience and you'll see how The Ameba grows stronger and prettier!
Try to survive the waves of enemies and special events that will be thrown at you for the most amount of time possible, to end up in the highest position of the global ranking. All while you SHAPE UP
The figures
All the upgrades and enemies in this game are based on 4 different geometric figures each one having his strength and it's weaknesses:
- Cube: High defense, low speed
- Pyramid: High damage, low attack speed
- Sphere: High speed, low damage
- Cylinder: Balanced in general
This applies to enemies and upgrades so keep it in mind while SHAPING UP
Leveling System
As said before there are a different type of experience for each figure, making a total of 4.... for each body part.
The reason for this? Well, you see, The Ameba, is actually divided in 5 different body parts, head, body, left arm, right arm and legs, and each one level up individually in each different figure type.
After you level up a body part, you'll see that it mutates to mimic the figure wich experience you've collected, keep in mind that you will need to select the part you will level up first, and then collect the experience to upgrade it, not the other way around. Don't forget this and try to select the part to level up wisely or you might regret later about that one piece that you should have SHAPED UP
